I love using monochromatic color art on a card! What is it? It's when you use different shades of one color or several elements in the same color to create art. And our cards ARE miniature works of art, right? Let's take a look at what I made for you today:
You can see that I used some patterned paper, ink and ribbon all using that gorgeous new shade of green, Tranquil Tide. By adding a touch of Smoky Slate with the crisp white, you get a card with all of the depth and richness of monochromatic color art.

I love using elements with some depth on my cards and using that beautiful new Finely Woven Ribbon with my 10 Second Bow Maker creates a bow that is very luxurious looking in real life – I wish you could see it. Try this photo:
Well, you can see the beautiful “loft” of that ribbon but, seriously, in real life it's just so luscious! Of course I have the greeting popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals which as you know – 'cause I say it all the time – adds some depth above and beyond the depth lent by the overall rustic pattern on the paper.
It is worth mentioning that creating cards using monochromatic color art techniques is made incredibly easy with Stampin' Up! products because Stampin' Up! is known industry wide for their focus on their colors. And not just because their colors are so gorgeous but also because they offer such a full complement of accessories and embellishments in those colors.
