I recently shared a project that featured the Just My Type stamp set, and in that set, sits a funny story.
In the Just My Type stamp set is a rainbow image. I was telling a friend about this set, and I distinctively remember telling her that I won't use the rainbow image that much. I am not against rainbows, just like birds – I prefer them in real life over on card stock.
Then, bam! The second card I used with that stamp set is with the rainbow, go figure! So when it comes to creativity, never say never, and don't count out an image, lol!
Wondering why the change?
It all had to do with the Kindest Expressions stamp set. This is another new one in the annual catalog. And I already bought it. I love big sentiments, so I had to have it.
What drew me to it at first was the With Sympathy sentiment. Not because I enjoy making sympathy cards, but I feel like most of the sympathy sentiments are small. So we wind up using a lot of other supplies to fill the space – when really, we need more words in that space. This stamp set truly fills a void on my stamp shelf.
I had this stamp set out, i was putting the labels onto the red rubber. And if you want to see my easiest way to do this, check out this video here.
And sitting right there, the largest sentiment, says “sending sunshine & rainbows”. Wait! I have.a stamp set with a rainbow on it! LIGHTBULB MOMENT!
I grabbed that stamp, my Tuxedo Black ink pad, Basic White card stock and randomly stamped it all over. Then in the Just My Type stamp set, there is this cute heart as well that has the same hand drawn style as the rainbow.
The Project
With some quick Stampin' Blends coloring, you have a rainbow of colors in your rainbows!
Then for your sentiment, stamp it in a coordinating color. I went with Balmy Blue.
PRO TIP: If you are wondering how I cut the sentiment out, I share that tip in this blog post here with a similar stamp set.
It's the perfect size because it was always the perfect size!
The Supplies
Rather than list out all the Stampin' Blends I used, here is a direct link to all the colors. You can choose whatever colors you want to use.
I no longer have product links for this company.
These are two of my favorite stamp sets from the new catalog! I can't wait to see what you do with them 🙂
Your Turn
Thank you so much for stopping by to see this project. Now it's your turn to play with these new stamps. Use the links above to order yours and get crafting! XOXO, Meg
