Mixing Flurry of Wishes with Softly Falling Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up!)
Happy Monday to you all – and welcome to today's project where we are mixing Flurry of Wishes with Softly Falling Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up!).
Do you know what tomorrow is?
Tomorrow is the FIRST day that the newest Holiday catalog goes live! From Christmas to Halloween, and fall in the middle – it is a crazy good catalog. And it officially starts tomorrow! Woohoo!!!!
One of the things I love is when you use the same color for your card base as you do with the top layer. It is just a great layering technique that is subtle and effective all at the same time.
You can do this with any color, it doesn't have to just be neutrals.
Today I did it with white. The card base is Whisper White and then on top of that is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Whisper White. Before I attached it to my card base though, I dry embossed it with the Softly Falling embossing folder. It is a stunning texture!
Then it was time to stamp. I stamped the snowflakes in Marina Mist ink and punched them out with the new Snow Flurry punch. Those were added to a strip of Marina Mist card stock using dimensionals.
Keeping with the same color on the same color theme, I stamped the sentiment (it is also from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set) in Marina Mist ink and die cut it using the Tags & Labels framelit set. It was attached to the card just using regular adhesive.
For the finishing touches, a big rhinestone was added to the center of each snow flake.
This card is one that you could easily make 100 of, and you wouldn't need that many supplies. Just a ton of Whisper White card stock!
Here is a partial list of the supplies used. I will edit this tomorrow when all the links are live for the new product available.
Thanks so much for joining me for today's project where we are mixing Flurry of Wishes with Softly Falling Embossing Folder (Stampin' Up!). See you in the next project!
This is so crisp and beautiful! Love the wintry feel to it. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!
