Mini Treat Bag Thinlits
This is an exciting time of year for stampers – it like New Year's Eve, but with stamps – in one moment it is out with the old and in with the new.
As a demonstrator, I do sell off a lot of my retiring items to make room for new ones – ones that I can share with you.
But as a crafter, like you, there are items that won't leave my home. They are truly my favorites, the ones I get a ton of use with, and the ones for my personal crafting that are my go-to items. So while I won't highlight them on my blog next year, in the background – they are still loved and used.
So for the next little while, I will be sharing those items that I won't part with. We are pretty much to the point with the current catalog retiring, that most everything is while supplies last – especially accessories – and dies fall into that category.
Without further ado, let the count – up (?) I don't know how many I will write about, so it doesn't seem right to say countdown, begin!
#1 Mini Treat Bag Thinlits
This set of dies is so much fun to work with, and not just to make the obvious treat bag. But for all the other pieces you get with it. Here is what is included:
So take away the two big pieces and you have:
- A big star
- A big heart
- A big banner
- A row of small stars (remember you can use both the positive and negative parts with this one)
- A row of small hearts (read above)
- A row of dots (read above – I don't think I would have the patience to actually use the dots themselves, but you sure can!)
- A bow (to be honest, I don't think I have actually ever used this one)
- A washi tape piece (if you have scraps of patterned paper and like the look of washi – this is a winner for sure!)
- Two word dies: for you & enjoy
And that's not even the treat bag – and I love making those too! (Here are some project ideas that are treat bags.)
I use these smaller pieces (excluding the bow – I don't use it) on my cards ALL. THE. TIME.
As I was typing this up – I thought to myself, “Why don't I just make a card and share it right now?”
Here is a favorite style of mine using this card. You can do this with any color, and change it out for hearts – but I also included the inside so you can see what I mean about the row of stars…
And then I can add whichever sentiment I want to the inside or make a tag coming off the bow later on.
This set of dies does have a matching stamp set. Another honest moment – I only use a few of these stamps – not most of them. To me, the stamp set is a take it or leave it kinda thing. If you are the type that likes having the “entire set” of something, go for it. I do love the little words on this set and I do like the heart and the star how they have words on them.
Here is the set…
Take note of this, the heart die in the mini treat bag thinlits will die cut AROUND the heart stamp. The star die will cut out the MIDDLE of the star stamp.
But overall – if you are only choosing one, hands down go for the die set! It's a keeper 🙂
Here are the links for the die set, the stamp set and that fabulous Smoky Slate ribbon, I included it because it just might make my list of retiring items I think everyone should have – I already ordered three extra rolls of it – LOVE me some Smoky Slate ribbon!!! Just a heads up – there isn't any Smoky Slate ribbon in the new catalog – ACK!

I hope you enjoyed today's project idea – and I hope you know that I speak from the heart on the items I simply can't part with. I love creating for you all – can't wait to share more with you!
I totally agree with everything you said, I just love my Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies! The bags are so gosh darn cute and…well, everything else you said! I also have the stamp set because I am “the type that likes having the ‘entire set’ of something,” so I went for it! 🙂
