Making a Card for My Friend
Confession time: I have had the stamp set, My Friend (from Stampin' Up!), for almost two years now. And I think this is the second time that I have used it. That is sad. I hate unloved rubber. In an effort to rekindle the love, I grabbed it this morning. The coffee got poured, the music was started, the hubby kept interrupting… which makes it a normal morning in my home… and I got to creating.
I grabbed me some polka dot patterned paper, as no Monday can go without polka dots. Headed over to my Big Shot and added a little argyle love to the background and kept on going.
For a bit…
And then I got stuck…
It was all out of balance. It needed bling, but I wasn't sure where. I tried on the lower right corner in the swirly-dohicky area… big nope. Tried under the ‘my friend' area… another nope.
Then it was like the clouds parted, my glasses magically cleaned themselves, birds of happiness landed on my shoulder and the card making gods smiled upon me….
Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Ribbon to the Rescue! (try saying that ten times fast)
A groovy, upbeat song came on Pandora, the ribbon was flying the punches came out, and my card was awesome! I love it!
I like this card, I really, really like it! All from a stamp set that had been unloved. Look at what I did with unloved rubber! Do you have any stamps sets that you need to show some attention to? If so, list it in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by to see My Friend hand made card.
I like the colors…cute!
