Delight a Friend with a Gratitude Card
One of the things that goes around on Facebook is the 30 Days of Gratitude. Each day, people post something else that they are grateful for. I wanted to take this on in my card making, but in all honesty, I knew that I was not going to make 30 cards AND send them out. So I decided to do this for a week. I would create 7 cards and send them out to 7 people and be done.
This idea started with an idea that a friend of mine did, and I just put my own spin on it.
The base for the card is Very Vanilla, top it with Early Espresso, then some Chevron embossed Soft Suede. Sweater Weather patterned paper is totally the way to go with this card, it is just perfect!
One of the techniques I often forget to do is stamping on patterned paper. When I do it, I love it – but like I said, I often forget to do that. A little pinked edge along side of the patterned paper really pops on the card. The acorn is set down in the card, with the circle punched out of the patterned paper.
The safety pin came into play after a sweet comment was left on my blog earlier about the little touch of a safety pins. She said I inspired her to use it on her card, and her comment inspired me to do it again!
Do you know where you can get a lot of interaction/comments on your cards and projects? That is what Stampin' Family is all about! You can upload your projects and let others love on your projects and keep your card making moving forward. It is a great site with a ton of ideas in it already. The only thing missing in the site is YOU!
