Do you need to make a Valentine's Day card that you can send to virtually ANYONE? And would you like to see how I used – believe it or not – Christmas leftovers to dress it up? Check it out:
When I showed this photo to a friend she wanted to know where I got the “taupe designer paper” – that heart is actually embossed using the new Hexagons Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder in the Occasion Catalog. I used the white heart cut-out left over from yesterday's project and I just can't believe how much running it through the Big Shot with this folder gave it so much visual interest. TIP: fill a Stampin' Spritzer (pg. 180 of the main Catalog) with rubbing alcohol and spritz your cardstock before using the Dynamic folders – this will prevent your cardstock from cracking and will dry very quickly.
And do you see those adorable tiny tags? Well, I used the tiny trim and the rickrack dies from Christmas Stockings Thinlits to take Christmas to Valentine's Day. I have said before that it pays to shop your own collection of supplies and I spotted these cute little pieces and knew they would be perfect. Always look through your stash to see what you have that can add that little zing and you might be happily surprised at what you come up with! I gave the card a little more texture with a stamped splatter of silver (now retired but white ink would be AWESOME) and of course had to add a bow made with my 10 Second Bow Maker.
Here are the products I used:
This year, make a list of people you can bestow a little love upon and make a Valentine's Day card for them – they will be tickled and you will get to let them know you care about them!
