Today's card is a cutie, just be warned that it is. So if you aren't in the mood for cute, come back on Thursday, lol!
The project we are making today is so easy because of the tool I used.
Simple supplies, simple to make, even used an extra die cut circle that was laying around.
Wanna see it?
The Project
Here's the project for today:
26 years of card making and I STILL LOVE this color combination. Real Red, Crumb Cake (back in the day it had the exciting name of Kraft, and Basic White. That's it. Timeless and perfect – especially with today's card.
The Tool
The tool I am talking about is the Stampwheel from Altenew. I have used so many different stamp positioners in my time as a card maker. And I won't lie, the Stamparatus was my favorite. And then it had to retire – long story – but many of you have found me since that tool went away and have asked me what I recommend.
I've ordered about six over the past several months and got my original one back from my sister. I won't talk about the ones that I returned, but I will talk about the ones I have kept.
Remember that each tool has it's pros and cons. This one checks more pros than cons – and I am working with them (*hopefully) on fixing that con 🙂
One of the HUGE perks of the Stampwheel is that you can take any almost image or sentiment and stamp it around the wheel giving you effortless results in minutes, like the card above.
The is one heart stamp stamped over and over AND I only lined up the stamp one time.
Want to see it in action?
I was hoping you would say yes….
so here you go:
The Video
Here's the video of the tool in action.
How amazing is that? And that Ultra Sticky Mat is no joke. I can't wait to share more with you on that.
The Supplies
To make this stunning card yourself, you will need the Stampwheel and the following items. In the video I don't show die cutting the Crumb Cake circle, I had one sitting on my counter.

I no longer have product links for this company.
The Pros and Cons of the Stampwheel
Pros:
- You can do wicked cool stuff in a circular pattern, that makes it unique right there.
- You can use it as a regular stamp positioner.
- The acrylic plate can have a stamp on both sides, so you can flip it over for your two step images.
- Works with photopolymer/acrylic/cling stamps.
- Has a grip mat that is out of this world.
- Has other accessories that go with it.
Cons:
- It only has one top plate (but I am hopefully working on that)
- It's pricey – but what stamping tools that you will use over and over again aren't? It's still cheaper than a die cut machine.
So to me, the pros outweigh the cons.
And you know I give my honest opinion on things. I have no problem saying that there are Stampin' Up! products I don't like.
Because my goal is ALWAYS to help you become a better card maker, make more cards, be proud of what you create – that goal has never changed.
If you have questions about things, please just ask.
Believe it or not, I answer my phone calls, return text messages, and reply back to emails. I want to help!
Until Next Time
Alrighty my friends, I hope you enjoyed today's project and video. I will see you in the next video! XOXO, Meg
Good to see the wheel in action. I still love my stamparatus!
So many people are looking for stamp positioners, and since that’s retired, I’m looking for alternatives!
