Today we are ink blending a beach scene! I can't wait to share it with you!

There is such joy when a new sentiment breathes new life into another stamp set you already have, right? And that's exactly what happens when you add the new Beachy Quotes sentiment set from Brass & Bliss to your collection!

I love not only the sentiments in this stamp set, but also the fonts they went with! In Stamping Family, we refer to that great combo as a fontiment!

But… not only did I add that great sentiment into a card with a stamp set from a previous release, I also added in the new Netting Cover Die to it also and my friends, the result is incredible!

Let me share it with you…

How cute is this? The original stamp set is called Hello Summer and hello indeed! It's so much fun to use! I love how the lines of it are simple and easy to color!

Let me share with you how this card came together.

The Making

For the background, I die cut white card stock with the new and fabulous Netting die. That was added onto my card base.

Ink Blending A Beach Scene

Next it was time for ink blending a beach scene! There are 3 different sections of ink on here, the sand, the ocean, and the sky. So I was able to use quite a few of my Color Fuse inks.

I started with creating a curved template with just a piece of card stock and a pair of scissors. I added that to a rectangular piece of card stock. Then blend out Caramel and Mocha. Once the blending is done, then grab a paint brush. Dip it in some water, pick up the ink and splatter on top. I did this with both of these ink colors.

All the ink blending I did on my Glassboard Studio Mat, link for mat and magnets are in the supply list.

Then I added the other piece of my handmade template to cover the sand and create a line for the horizon. I used Beachside and Whisper inks for this section.

Next it was time for our sky and I used all four colors from the Color Fuse Set #8. Move the straight edge of your handmade template to line up with the top of your water line.

Even though later on we are going to cut a circle out of this piece, color most of your rectangle. That will give you options with your dies on what part of that curve you like the best and die cut that section out.

I have my lighter closest to the horizon and darkest at the top.

It all comes together faster than you might think.

Then it's time to grab your Small Stitch Nested Circle Dies and die cut out the part you like most.

Finishing You Card

We still need to add the sentiment.

My friends, even though ink blending a beach scene doesn't take too long, make sure you are using a stamp positioner for your sentiment. You don't want to get to this point and mess up your sentiment. The one I use is in the supply list below.

All that's left now is to stamp, color, and die cut out your cute palm tree. Yep, there's a die set that coordinates with the Hello Summer stamp set! It just doesn't get better than that!

I used my favorite OLO Markers to color in my palm trees, the colors are listed in the supply list below.

Pop that tree up with some foam tape and you have a delightful card!
