I really LOVE a lot of my friends and today I want to show you how to make I Love You cards that you can send to family or friends, guys or gals, grown-ups or kids – for anyone you want to say “I Love You!” to.

First, let's take a peek at the whole project:

how to make I love you cards for anyone

Cute, huh? I worked with Real Red but when I was looking at the finished card I realized that by using Crumb Cake card stock – one of my favorite neutrals – meant that I could substitute pretty much ANY color for the real red and this card would look fantastic.  I like cards like this because you can then customize the card to your recipient's favorite color, match a gift, create a theme…….. Crumb Cake is perfect for this because it is such a solid neutral and goes with almost every other color.

It's so simple but the repeated tag and heart element adds that emphasis. Here's another look where you can see more of the dimension created by the tags:

Those little tags are only up on Stampin' Dimensionals but don't they look like they are those thick packaging tags? I used the framelit strip from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits dies to get the perfect sized heart – always shop your stash because you never know what you might find! – and, well, see that cute little mini scalloped strip? We don't have a mini scallop-er, do we?  Oh yes we do! Look closely here:

That's the OTHER side of the strip you get when you use the Decorative Ribbon Punch!  I know, right?  Whoodathunkit?

Here are the other things I used to make this cute card:

Remember, always shop your stash for parts and pieces of other sets of stamps, thinlits, and framelits and try looking at your punched and cut pieces differently to see what you come up with. And now that you know how to make I love you cards for just about anyone and that you can change around the colors to your heart's content go stamp and have fun!
