How to Make an Easy Birthday Card
The most popular question / card idea request from my stampers is how to make easy birthday cards. I get that one more times than I can count. We all need birthday cards, and the number of cards we need never seems to diminish, does it?
Here is one that you can make in a matter of moments. I used the I Am Me patterned paper from Stampin' Up! and used the coordinating colors that are listed in the catalog under the patterned paper name to get my color combination.
The base is Soft Sky with a layer of Whisper White on top of that. A little of the polka dot paper (you don't think I can make it through a Monday without polka dots, right?), that is backed with Calypso Coral are on the right. Then I ran a strip of Basic Gray through my Tasteful Trim Die and ran that all the way across my card. A strip of the So Saffron pattern adds a subtle layer. Then I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Label Something stamp set in Calypso Coral, punched that bad boy out with my Artisan Label Punch, backed it with a Soft Sky 1-3/4″ Circle. Dropped a Basic Gray bow (tied with the 10 Second Bow Maker) and BAM!
It really is as easy as that! I timed myself this morning, and from blank whole sheets of card stock to finished card was under 9 minutes. I don't say that to show off, but to inspire you that you really can make a card that quickly.
I hope that if you are one that is always in need of quick and easy birthday cards that this How To helped you out!
