How to Decorate Office Supplies
Last week on my FB page, I said that I would share ideas for how to decorate your office supplies. ThenI left town, laptop in tow, arrived at my fave hotel and had internet issues. So I will be playing catch up to share these ideas with you. Be sure to also check out my FB page for more ideas!
Who wants a boring pen? Everyone has boring pens. You have probably ‘permanently borrowed' boring pens for stores, banks, etc. You might have even ‘permanently borrowed' cute pens from friends in the past. So made this one and guard it from your friends. OR… if you really like your friends, you could actually make one for them.
I used the Gingham Garden Washi Tape to decorate this pen:
The way to do the inside barrel of the pen is super simple. Start with unscrewing the bottom of the pen and removing it as well as the ink part of the pen, then you measure the length of the clear barrel. Next cut a piece of paper (not card stock) to that length and then you want it about 1″ wide. Cover the paper with Gingham Garden Washi Tape and wrap the paper around the ink part. Slide it all back into the clear barrel. Then simply decorate the cap as you choose. Simple, easy and remarkably cute!
Come back for more this week to enjoy learning some different ideas on how to decorate your office supplies!
where can i purchase the pens?
thanks for any help you can give me…
Beverley
Hi Beverly, Those pens came from one of three places: Target, WalMart or Office Depot. My favorite pen to do this with is the RSVP pen made by Pentel. This is not that brand, but one that I had. You can find theses pens in all three stores.
Hope that helps!
Meg
Beverley, I posted it somewhere. But I either got these at Office Max, Target or WalMart. There are several brands that I like, the Pentel RSVP pen is my favorite (Not what I used for this one) and you can find those in a lot of places. I want to see yours when you make them!
These pens are adorable. Have to give these a try. I remember these once before a long time ago then forgot about it. Now with the new washi tape they should be really easy and super cute to do. Thanks Megan for doing this project, you rock girl, have a Dr. Pepper, lol
Did you try the pens yet Bibi? Washi Tape makes it so amazingly easy!
