Today I want to share with you a super cute Hooray birthday card along with some clever tips that will make you a crafting goddess!  First, let's look at the card:

Hooray Birthday Card

Isn't that CUTE?  And trust me, as many fun elements as there are on it, it was easy!

So – the background paper….don't you love it? Wouldn't it be great if it came in every color?  Well it DOES because I MADE it!  That's just one stamp, stamped repeatedly in _______ on Whisper White.  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the placement just right; if you are a Stamping Family member you probably saw the two part video I made just for you members showing my “tried and true” method to make background paper.  (And it's still there so if you want to sign up you can see it, too!)  Here's a quick photo:

Use the Stamp A Ma Jig to create background paper

Using a positioner like the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig helps a LOT to make the pattern you create look regular which in this case makes that paper look professionally printed.  Change out the greeting and the color and you've got a custom made background paper every time!  And when you use the tip I shared in this post for storing extra greetings, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig sheets and more you can be ready to go in less than a minute!

The other quick tip I want to share is how I got that cute little rick-rack looking trim on the tag.  No it's not a new ribbon, it's a sliver of _______ card stock cut with the zig zag edge of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.  Here's how I set it up to go through the Big Shot:

Use a Part of a Framelit in a New Way

Cute, right?

Here are all the supplies I used to make this card:

And if you liked learning these little tips, honestly, you really need to be part of Stamping Family.  Not only do we share weekly tips in forms of posts, challenges and videos, but members are constantly sharing things they learned, what works for them and all sorts of handy do-it-faster, do-it-better, do-it-easier ideas!  The only thing missing from Stamping Family is YOU!

So check out your greetings and see which ones you want to try using to make your own version of this Hooray birthday card!
