A card swap is where a group of people choose a theme or a collection of products or a specific event – anything, really – and all make cards to go with that choice. Then everyone sends the correct number of cards – all the same – to the Swap Hostess and she sorts and sends back one of each participant's card to you. This way you make, say, 10 of the same cards and get back 10 different ones. Sound like fun?
Well at Stamping Family, one of our favorite member activities is our swaps! In Stamping Family we really DO have that family vibe so newbies and multiple-year members alike all sign up. Everyone truly appreciates every project and we all love that we end up with lots of new ideas AND lots of new cards to send.
We are running a swap right now that is a Tic-Tac-Toe swap. What is that, you ask? It's where we have nine squares, three rows of three, with a different technique or element in each box. You make your own Tic-Tac-Toe row and create a card using the three elements in your row. It's SO much fun to see all the mixes and how people interpret the elements. I join every time and I am always blown away by how fun these are!
