I truly enjoy coming up with new and fresh handmade greeting card ideas and when I finished this card I kept thinking how the basic design could be used over and over with so many different images, colors and occasions. Don't you just LOVE it when you hit a pocket of genius? <snort>

Today we are sharing one of our favorite handmade greeting card ideas using very few supplies and a little imagination!

This card, like so many I create and end up loving, is super simple, came together really quickly and used a very limited number of supplies, including my underappreciated-by-many leftover paper scraps. SAVE those scraps, but don't HOARD them – USE them! See that little bitty strip of paper? Well that, my friends, was a piece that I had to trim off another project and when I saw how perfectly lined up the design ended up being on that scrap, I held onto it. And is it not perfect?

Ok, so some of you know I have a ribbon issue. I haven't really met many ribbons or trims I haven't liked. And sometimes adding just a teeny tiny accent like this bright magenta baby bow is all you need to add both a pop of color and some texture to your project. I built up the illusion of depth on this card by layering a white panel on a white card base with dimensional adhesive, stamped those “sparkles” in the background with the greeting overlapping, adding that strip of paper and then popping on that little bow. And no, I didn't need to use tweezers to tie it! I used my 10 Second Bow Maker which you can have too, by clicking on the link! (I created this because I was all thumbs making those bows!)
