Handmade Friendship Cards for Friends
I love being able to make someone smile and one of my favorite ways is to make some handmade friendship cards for friends to have on hand for one of those “no reason” reasons – I thought of someone who always makes me laugh, I want to let someone know they've been on my mind or just because I feel like it's been a while since I let them know I love them.
Here's one of the latest ones I made:
This is another super simple card that I think turned out so pretty. I used a similar technique with the paper that I did here except this is two different sheets from the Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper. We talked about angles and curves loving each other a few times and this card shows that off again with the striped and the “bubbles”.
And do you see that black band? See the cute little baby scallops? That's a strip made with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch – I don't think many people realize it's a two sided punch! SO cute, right?
When I was choosing the ribbon, I opted to go for the Classic Weave Ribbon because I didn't want any additional texture to compete with the visual texture of the striped and bubbles. This way the ribbon seems to “float” on the card and lets the greeting stand out on its own despite being fairly simply made.
Here is what I used to make this card:
Just think for one second about how touched you feel when you get the mail, see a card sized envelope, see that the return address is a friend's and you just can't wait to tear into it, right? And then when you see the greeting and read the message and realize they sent it JUST because they value your friendship, well your heart just puffs right up, right?
Well you can DO that for YOUR friends! Order the things I used here or poke around your supplies. Use this card as a sketch inspiration and go ahead and make a slew of handmade friendship cards for friends and be THAT awesome person!
