A Handmade Bauble Christmas Card Using a Halloween Item

Today I am serving up a super cute, easy to make, scrap-using, make in moments handmade bauble Christmas card. Now, we call them ornaments but I've been told many people call them Christmas baubles. So I am jumping on that bandwagon just for this post!

This is holiday leftovers project in that I used a little of this, a little of that, scraps from other projects, etc. The main elements of this card are the ornament punches and the Ornate Frames Dies. And the Ornate Frames Dies are part of the HALLOWEEN collection offered in the Holiday Catalog. Wha-What? Why these were designated as a “Halloween” item I will never know but what I DO know is that these dies are simply gorgeous and go with such a huge number of greetings that this set of dies gets one of my all-time-indispensible designations! Take a closer look:

As I said, I used left over Christmas paper from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP (which is currently on a while-supplies-last list and WILL sell out fast!) for the ornaments, and then those dies that are are literally to “die” for (see what I did there?). See how that filigree pattern just adds so much with that one little die cut? ALL the dies in the set are like that and you can expect to see me use them over and over.

For the background panel, I used some paper from the Most Wonderful Time medley, which you know is one of my hot items for this year – what a deal!  and I also used my own 10 Second Bow Maker because, for me, bow making is a total pain in my……..fingers and I love me a tool that does the work for me!

I pulled this handmade bauble Christmas card using bits and pieces - come see how!

I want to point out that this is yet another card I made using the fabulous products in that Most Wonderful Time of the Year Product Medley which I think is one of Stampin' Up!'s genius moments given how many fabulous projects I have been able to make with it!
