Hand Stamp a Colorful Birthday Card
…..Or two or three, because who doesn't love a colorful birthday card that is all celebration-like and hand stamped to boot? This card comes together quickly and a lot of its impact is due to the use of several coordinating colors used in ways to give it a lot of WOW without a lot of work. Take a look:
You can see how using these bright colors together make a really cheery card! And using two different colors to stamp the greeting add to that celebratory vibe. I also added the cute little “HB” balloon as an embellishment; this is a great way to add a little extra sumthin' sumthin' to a card using your stamps. And see the “splatter” in Daffodil Delight? Sometimes adding a little splash – or splatter! – of color can add just enough depth and interest to a project to take it from nice to “Niiiice!”. And of course no card is complete without the addition of any one of the fabulous Stampin' Up! ribbons! In this case I went with the luscious Pumpkin Pie Cotton Ribbon and finished it off with an always-perfect bow using the awesome 10 Second Bowmaker!
Don't be afraid to experiment with adding splashes and splotches of color to a project, especially when using lots of colors like the colorful card above – tying your colors together and anchoring them to each other allows the eye to flow over the project, making it cohesive and in this case, playful. I even added the same splatter inside the card; the Daffodil Delight is bright enough to continue that fun feeling inside the card but light enough that I can write right over it when I figure out who will get this card.
Here's what I used:
