Googly Ghouls is a the type of stamp set that just makes me giggle, it is a fun new set from Stampin' Up! in the Holiday Catalog. It makes me giggle because it was designed to work with googly eyes, and anything designed to work with googly eyes just instantly makes it a giggly set.
I really wanted to work with another product that is just as fun to say as it is to use, that is the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP that is in the same Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up! Let's go over these papers really quick:
In the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP, you get 12 sheets, 2 of each 6 double-sided designs. Instantly, you know my favorites are the polka dot patterns, then I {heart} the black and white striped, yippee for the chevron patterns and then I think the multi colored stripes sheets are perfect for masculine cards.
The other reason that I love this paper is that it is not just "Halloween". There are no printed spiders, nothing says "Halloween", it is just a great set of patterns. Don't get me wrong, I love my printed Halloween papers, but not having it makes it so much more versatile.
OK, now let's jump back to our Googly Ghouls card…
I knew I wanted to add some green to it. I like green in Halloween, it makes me think of Elphaba in Wicked. Then it was a matter of which green, and Gumball Green was the winner.
