How does a funny story go along with Attic Boutique?  I am glad you asked!  I wanted to write about this today and I just heard back from the sweet lady that this happened with yesterday that it is fine with her if I share, but she asked me to leave out her name.

The grocery store is often my nemisis.  I do not like to go, I do not like that I get 3/4 of the way through the store when I realize that I forgot something back at the entrace.  Often the best part of the trip is the checker, I love to visit with them!  So Emily and I take off to the store yesterday.  And sure enough, we were on aisle 11 and realized that we needed something from aisle 2.  Got that, got back to 11 and realized that there were two items on aisle 2 we needed.  Anyone else feel my pain on this?

So we finally get through the checkout and it was busy.  As I was unloading groceries onto the conveyor belt, I hear this lady on her cell phone behind me in line.  I am trying not to eavesdrop, and you could tell that she was trying to speak quietly.  And you can tell that the person on the other end of the phone cannot hear her, because she is now whisper yelling, "I think it is her."  At first I did not think it was me she was referring to.  But then I hear, "And I think she has Emily with her."

Two thoughts came to mind:

1.  She has been following me and now is going to try to take my beautiful daughter.

2.  I have french bread I can fight her off with (shoot, why didn't I get frozen french bread, that would work better).

Seriously, these were my two thoughts.  Sad, but true.

Then she says, "OK, I will ask her, but I know it is her."  So I turn to her with my best southern smile and say, "Hi!"  And she says, "You are the stamp lady that makes vidoes right?  And that is your daughter that sometimes does them with you?"

{Insert huge laugh!}  "Yes!" I said.  {Insert thought:  "I am so thankful I brushed my hair and put on a little makeup!"}  And she asks to take a picture with me because her friend will NEVER believe that she met me, her friend lives in Colorado.

We had as delightful a visit as you can in line at the grocery store and of course, Emily loved it too.  And the checker took our picture, (she shared that it was a first for her).

We chit chatted about a mile a minute and then she asked me if I would share a project that uses the Attic Boutique DSP.  She has been wanting to buy it, but wanted to see a sample and today's card was born!

Long story just to lead up to a card, but it was a priceless story!  I will never look at checkout lane #14 the same way again!

Onto the Attic Boutique card:

Attic Boutique, Stampin' Up!, Card, MOJO238This card uses the postage punch, punch out 12 of them and lay them onto a piece of 4" x 5 1/4".  I used the Fancy Flower punch and the Antique Brads.  That is the Soon-To-Be-Retired-Poppy-Parade ribbon, (grab it while you can!) and cardstock.  And for the sentiment, I used the Soon-To-Be-Retired Grateful Greatings Stamp set and just inked up the word Blessed with my Chocolate Chip marker.  I initially did it in Soft Suede since the cardstock is Soft Suede, but it was not dark enough.

For the inside, I just added a strip of the Attic Boutique DSP.

So I hope that you enjoyed both the story and the card.  And to my Stamper Who Shall Not Be Named, I hope that this excites you about the Attic Boutique DSP!
