Friday Flip: Using For All Things from Stampin' Up! – Fall Card Idea
Today's Friday Flip uses the For All Things stamp set from Stampin' Up to make a fall card.
Here was our inspiration:
What I really loved about the inspiration project was the twirled ribbon and the subtle background layer. So I wanted to make sure that both those elements were in this card.
Starting with color, I chose my favorite fall colors: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler – and this time went with Old Olive. I would normally choose Always Artichoke, but I only have Old Olive ribbon.
Don't worry – all the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post for you.
Then it was a matter of layers. Choosing what to make the background layer and what color to make the top layers. This was merely trial and error. I knew where the ribbon needed to go, so it wouldn't have worked to have the banner Old Olive. Does that make sense? Then I just played around until Crushed Curry became my card base.
In this post from earlier this week, I shared this project:
But it didn't show you how to do it. In our video today, you will learn how to do the “Thumping Technique” with markers. And it will do this:
And here is our finished project:
