Flower Greeting Card Sketch Inspired!
I like flowers and I like cards so it only makes sense that I would make a flower greeting card at some point right? Today I've used an inspiration sketch from Stamping Family and honestly, I am SO glad I have access to all those sketches because when I need fast inspiration, it's right there!
First, let's take a peek:
I don't know about you but as much as I love some of those super detailed, gorgeous, layered textured, painted, gilded, foiled, glittered cards, I do love me a simple sweet project. This sweet little flower greeting card came from this sketch:
This is a pretty literal translation of the sketch but you can do all kinds of things with the over 250 inspiration sketches available in Stamping Family. I will be posting more projects to show you some more ideas but you can take this sketch and FLIP IT
You can TIP IT
You can TURN IT ALL AROUND
OK, you get the point. And that is when you have a layout with some basic elements, you can really get tons of ideas from one simple prompt. Back to today's project – here's another look
I did cut that flower out with my Brother Scan N Cut – my favorite tool for when there's no coordinating punch or die – but it's just as easy to cut out with your Paper Snips if you like that kind of thing. A couple of scraps, a little bit of that (DELICIOUS) polka dotted tulle ribbon and you've got a flower greeting card that you can use for just about anything. This is also a GREAT card for batch card making!
I also wanted to point out that gorgeous texture you can get with the Subtle Embossing Folder. This is SUCH a go-to for me! I love that it adds just that little bit of linen-like lusciousness to our card stock and gives that teeny bit of interest without distraction on any project. It's like the little black dress of embossing folders – perfect any time!

Great post. I like your little two panel background, Meg. The subtle embossing folder is indeed a must have item!
Great card to use some of those small cuts. The embossing folder is ‘there but not there’ and just highlights a plain card. Quick enough to fill those spare 5 minute spots.
