Recently I shared this project and showed how to find new uses for your supplies and you all went nuts! I realized that I have used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits a bunch of times and is so many different ways and it's because it is so incredibly versatile! Take a closer look:
See all those shapes? And the words – in two fonts as is so popular right now – which can be used together or in combination with stamps are the perfect size for cards, tags, packages, even scrapbook pages! The star coordinates with the Star Framelits and the heart matches the shaping of the Sweetheart Punch. Even that little piece of “washi tape” can be used to turn any Designer Series Paper into adorable and on trend accents on any paper crafting project. And see the strips with the hearts, stars and polka dots? Not only can they cut cute peek-a-boo trim but you can use the punchies – that highly technical term for the pieces that are cut out – as itty bitty accents or custom shaker card filler!
This is why I LOVE Stampin' Up!'s line of Thinlits and Framelits; the include so many other pieces, parts and elements in the sets that it makes they totally cost effective when I see how many OTHER things I can do with my stash than just the main feature.
So when so many of you messaged me saying that they never thought of using their stuff in such different ways, I knew I had to point out that very often we can “shop” our own “stash” and find things we didn't realize we had. That's sort of a theme over on Stamping Family, too. We all encourage each other to use what we have through creative challenges, in-real-life swaps, our own galleries……
So I offer this mini-challenge to you all. Go through your papers, your stamps, your thinlits and see what you have in there that you might not have noticed before. And if you NEED things to round out your selection or want to see the huge variety of “stealth” supplies that Stampin' Up! shares with us, go here and make a wish list or get those missing pieces delivered right to your door. When you find new uses for your supplies, you will be more creative, will produce more fun things and otherwise just have a better time crafting!
