Father's Day Card using Open Seas from Stampin' Up!
Father's Day is almost upon us, do you have a card? If not, here is an idea for you using the Open Seas stamp set and the retired Nautical paper if you have it. I love the colors in this card, and the card came together with my friend Carol's help. It is not my style of stamp set, so I don't have it, but I HAD to make a card with it all of a sudden, I have no idea why. Weird, right? So she was more than awesome, gathered it up, threw in some of the paper and viola – there it was.
But I LOVE Midnight Muse along with Cherry Cobbler, I don't think I have used these two colors together before, but they really work.
On a side note, I got my big girl camera last night, and Me – the person that thinks that no one should wake up before the crack of noon – was wide awake at 5:30 this morning dying to play and take pictures. I even started before the coffee was ready if you can believe that! Be sure to leave me a comment about the photo of the card and what you think. (on my Facebook page today I shared a funny story about Emily in the camera – be sure to check it out)
Here is the card:
Thank you again, Carol, for your help in this one. You saved me from a near miss of a card that never would have been created. Wow, after writing that, that sounds so sad. Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed today's card using Stampin' Up!'s Open Seas to make this Father's Day Card.
SCREECHING happy about this! Look at how the card is the only thing in this shot! And how sharp it is! If I didn’t already have my Father’s Day cards wrapped up I would be casing this today, but as it is, I will CASE the layout. LOVE it!
Thanks Celia! It is a-maz-ing!
Megan, your “big girl” camera does a fantastic job. The card is amazing!
Thanks Jackie!!!
I Love it Megan.
Thank you, Yvonne!
Great Card! Loved the story on FB about your new camera. Are you sure someone else didn’t enter your body and got up so early and started playing even without coffee?
You know me so well, Pam. You would think that it was a body snatcher thing in order for me to be up that early!
OMG what a great card for Father’s Day, thanks Meg!!
