Fast and Fun Christmas Card with the Stamparatus
Make fast and fun Christmas cards with the Stamparatus this year. This tool makes mass producing so easy, worth every penny!
Making your own Christmas cards can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. Many feel like they need all the supplies – we many want all the supplies, but we often don't need all the supplies, right?
This card idea is fast, easy, fun, and doesn't take a lot of supplies or time. There is a tool I highly recommend to make this one go even faster.
Let me share this card with you:
See all the layers and detailed cuts with the stamping behind it? It's easier than you might think to make this card. Earlier I said that there is a tool I recommend, so let me share all the supplies that I used. Then we will get into the how of the making.
The Supplies
We don't need a lot of supplies, they are all really important, the only ones you can pass on would be the water painters and the black ink if you don't want the splatters, but you will need all the others. To order these supplies simply click on the images below. There is also an Add All To Cart option that you can use and then if you have some of the supplies, you simply uncheck them. It's the fastest and easiest way to order the group of products.
The Making
This is the easiest way I know how to tell you to make this card more than one time. Go in this order, pretty please, as it will make it super easy if you go in order.
Die cut your the outline of the “Bright” near the bottom of a piece of Whisper White that's 4″ x 5-1/4″. This becomes your template piece – don't use it right away. If you want to make 10 of these, use 9 additional pieces of the same size.
Have your template piece lined up with another piece of the same size card stock behind it with the die on top. It will look like you are die cutting through two layers, but you have already cut the top one, so you are only cutting through one at a time, there are just two pieces in your “sandwich”.
Repeat this for all the pieces of this size.
Next, use your Stamparatus for your stamped word “Bright”. This will be stamped onto your Whisper White 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece. Use your die cut template to get your word spacing right. Line up your card base into the corner of your Stamparatus and then layer your template on top. Line up your stamp in the middle of that die and close your lid to pick up your stamp.
Then stamp all of your card bases. As long as you put your card base into the corner of your Stamparatus, you can whip the stamping out in no time without needing to use your template after the first time.
With your Water Painter wet, not dripping, but not dry, add black ink to the brush end. Hold it over your die cut pieces and tap the tip with either a pencil or your bone folder. Set aside to allow to dry.
Stamp and cut out your “MERRY” and “AND”.
The second most important tool will be your Dimensionals. This is how you get the depth. I used a mixture of mini and regular size Dimensionals. One of the things that makes the Stampin' Up! foam adhesive different from the others in the market is that the minis are the same height as the regular size. Others not only change the width but also the height.
Assemble and you are done! If you follow these steps, you can easily make 10 in under an hour. Trust me, I know 🙂
Your Turn
Now is the time to get your supplies ordered and get ready to get to making! This fun card is easy to make and easy on postage! Change it up with different words from this die set, change out the colors, and you have an entirely different card. These also make great cards if you make and give or make and sell your cards. As I said, you can easily make 10 in an hour, and you only need one color of card stock.
