After receiving several requests for Fall/Thanksgiving ideas, I have delved into my Regals Collection (my least favorite) to create this card.

I had a fun time with this card, but probably for a different reason than you might guess.  I was showing a sweet friend of mine how I create cards when I am in a hurry.  My FAV-orite way to create in a hurry is to grab my most FAV-orite idea source, my Stampin' Up! catalog (if you do not have one, please contact me).  Let me jump off a brain cliff here…  I love my catalog as an idea starting place because many magazines tend to be seasonal based, or theme based, color based, or just plain boring.  The Stampin' Up! catalog gives great variety in not only those areas mentioned above, but most of the ideas are simple.

Stay with me a little bit longer here…  I think of the catalog projects as a Little Black Dress.  You can dress them up, you can dress them down, you can add bling, drop in some pearls if you want.  The projects are a great starting point for your papercrafting.  Does that make sense?  Someone leave me a comment and let me know if this makes sense or not.

So Jill asked me how I start when I need a card, that is how this post started.  And I told her that many of you were on your knees begging (OK, that is stretching it a bit) for Fall/Thanksgiving ideas.  I grabbed my trusty catalog and looked through the pretty pictures and just found a card that I liked, but I made sure that it was not a fall card.  Then I grabbed the stamps that I wanted to use.  We grabbed the Regals inks and away we went.  Want to see what we came up with?

Gently Falling stamp set for Fall/Thanksgiving Card IdeaSimple, simple, simple!  OK, so let's have a little fun with this.  In the comments below, I will host a contest.  The first person to CORRECTLY tell me what page of the catalog we used for this card idea, I will send you this card in the mail!  Hint:  it is not in the fall section!

Have fun and good luck!
