Everything Eleanor is probably the stamp set in the new Stampin' Up! catalog that I am most excited about – it has so much potential! At first, I thought this stamp set would really be for regals and subtles, I was a little leary about brights. But I decided to try it this morning.
And for some reason, I have the typical blues theme song in my head, and silly me, will share…
Got my coffee in my left hand
(ba da da da dum)
And a stamp in my right
(ba da da da dum)
Staring at my ink pads
(ba da da da dum)
I am sure that you can guess at this point that I need to get out more.
On to today's card…. I stuck with some bright colors, but threw in a subtle just to tone it down a smidge. And I did not use ribbon! Can you believe it? And get this, I did not even use my Big Shot – that is a rare thing. (Hopefully my Big Shot will not require mental counceling over not feeling useful today.)
This color combo also comes from Emily, she pulled these colors for me yesterday to use and made me promise to use them. She picked them right before we took her to my mom's for the week, then one of the last things she said to me as we were leaving was, "Now Mom, I will check your website tomorrow and make sure." I love that little girl!!! We have so much fun together!
Again, on to today's card:
Stampin' Up! Stamps: Everything Eleanor (wm: 124162 cm: 124164), Kindness Matters (wm: 122900 cm: 122902)
Stampin' Up! Ink: Gumball Green (126861), Melon Mambo (126948), So Saffron (126957), White Craft Ink (101731)
Stampin' Up! Cardstock: Gumball Green (126840), Melon Mambo (115320), So Saffron (105118), Whisper White (100730)
Stampin' Up! Accessories: 2 1/2" Circle Punch (120906), 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch (118874), Rhinestone Jewels (119246), Corner Rounder Punch (119871), Modern Label Punch (119849)
For the inside, I kept it really simple. I stamped in the lower left hand corner with the same flower I used on the front. All the stamps came from Stampin' Up!'s Everyday Eleanor except for the "Kindness Matters" and that came from the Kindness Matters stamp set.
I love this card! I’m a new SU demo, old stamper, and just getting into the stamping blog world. I really enjoy your blog, love your “ramblings” and think your cards are gorgeous!
Emily cracks me up! Tell her, from me, she was right. It was a sparklyishish card and I liked it. It goes with fairie houses.
