Looking for DIY wall art ideas for valentine's day?  What about one you can make in minutes?  This idea is also great to give as a gift!

To start with, I found some shadow box frames at… wait for it… drumroll please…. The Dollar Tree!  Yep, these cute shadow box frames were one buck at the Dollar Tree.  They were a bright, obnoxious blue when I bought them.  They had the wire across the back and even the little clothespin.

But nothing like a little spray paint to make them a nice color.

Yesterday, my new Sweet & Sassy Framelits arrived to me and I was so excited to get them so I could make this cute framed wall art.

To start with, I stamped the Writing Notes background stamp onto a 4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock in Smoky Slate ink.

Next, I die cut out my cute Real Red heart and my love sentiment (all the supplies are listed below).

After assembling these three layers together, I used some silver ribbon to tie a box to dress up our sad and plain looking clothespin.

The longest part of this project was waiting for the spray paint to dry.  After that, this took minutes.  And you could easily be smarter than me and do the rest of the project while the paint was drying rather than touching it every two minutes to see if it was dry and THEN make the rest of it.  I think I was just a little too excited to see if the project idea I had in my mind was going to look as cute as I thought it would when it was actually done!!
