Do you love die cut sets?

Are you like me and addicted to die cut sets that have a whole bunch of different sizes of the same shape?  And do you realize how EASY they can make card making? Well check out this card:

I only used two of the five different sizes of perfect five point stars in the Stars Framelits die cut set and still got some amazing dimension and energy on this card. By using a star in the middle of the image and offsetting in within the overall circle, you create a layer that makes the eye move around the shape creating some of that fun energy. And you've got a great way to use up scraps with the smaller stars.

Here's another look from a different angle:

See how putting the red start at an angle over its negative space adds that little bit of visual interest?  This works for any shape because you are implying some movement with that offset positioning. You can see that I didn't even have to use Stampin' Dimensionals to get the depth – the layering of the stars did that for me:

And see how ONE small addition of sparkle blings this up enough to make it really feel special?

Using an overall, small, “starry” patterned paper as the panel on the front of the card adds some more “movement” to the card and having the smaller stars arranged in a tiny arc overlapping the offset layers anchors the whole thing in place. Your birthday pal will almost hear cheers when they pull this card out of the envelope!

Now I did use a Sale-A-Bration set for the greeting in this card even though Sale-A-Bration is over. I know some of you cleaned UP at the end of last month and I saw that the Designer Tee set was very popular – there are some CUTE greetings in there.  I want to be able to give those of you who got some Sale-A-Bration goodies a chance to see them in action to inspire you. The beauty of a card like this is that you pick ANY greeting, can shop your existing die cut sets, choose a shape from one of them or even from a punch OR even hand cut the greeting shape and add it right onto the card.
