Cutting Stamped Images with Scan N Cut

So I know some of you love fussy cutting but for those of you who don't I wanted to share my secret love of cutting stamped images with Scan N Cut when Stampin' Up! doesn't offer a matching die. Yes, I went there!

I will ALWAYS reach for my dies first because they truly are the easiest way to get a perfect cut out of a stamped image from Stampin' Up! (or for other companies as well!). But for those times when a die hasn't been offered or when fussy cutting is beyond me, I run my stamped images through my Scan N Cut. I love how it gives me consistent cutting around a shape AND gets those intricate pieces without me having to stick my tongue all the way out to get around them with my Paper Snips (please tell me I am not the only one who does that!) This card is SUPER simple and comes together in no time once you've embossed the front panel which you can do while you are cutting those stamped images with your Scan N Cut!  I used Stampin' Blends – which are still among your favorite products since they launched – to color my cut out image an just popped it on top of two scrap panels set at an angle to each other. I deliberately left it sentiment-free so you could see for yourself how many different occasions you could use this card for.

And you can clearly see the Tin Tile 3D embossing on the back white panel but the panel under the pitcher is also embossed with one of my favorite folders ever. Remember the Stampin' Up! Textured Cardstock? Remember how that barely there but oh-so-lovely linen like texture added that little extra to a project? Well the Subtle Embossing Folder does the same thing and even though you can't really see it here, that little bit of texture takes any project from “ooh” to “OH!”.
