Paper Crafts Idea: Handmade Thinking of You Card
Stop for two seconds, think about the people in your life, can you come up with at least one name of a person that you need to send a Thinking of You card to? That's what today's paper crafts idea is all about.
Card making is fun. It can be a fun escape, a fun job, a fun hobby, a fun outlet, etc – but it is not just fun for you. It's fun for the people that you send the cards to as well.
How long has it been since you mailed out a handmade card? Well, that's too long!
What I love about this card is how crazy easy it is to make, and yet it looks like so much more. The patterned paper does most of the work here adding some beautiful colors and images. A simple sentiment stamped with little flowers stamped around it.
Let's dive in by starting from the bottom going up.
I love texture, no doubt about it. I really cringe when I stop and think about not having embossing folders, how did we ever create without them? I went with the Argyle embossing folder (all the supplies are listed at the bottom of this post). For both the Whisper White and Mossy Meadow layers you can see that Argyle. Before these layers went onto the card base of Blushing Bride, we need to add our patterned paper.
The paper comes from the All Abloom patterned paper. Both patterns, one little awesome paper stack. Once those were added to the embossed pieces, then the strip of ribbon was wrapped around.
Then I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow from the Sassy Salutations set and the little flower from the Flower Patch stamp set (that set has matching framelits that I did not use).
That crazy cute double loop bow comes from the 10 Second Bow Maker and the Hello Honey satin ribbon. If you want to tie amazing bows every time, I highly recommend you get yourself a 10 Second Bow Maker.
