Christmas Paper For Easy Card Making (Part 2)

Today we are back with using Christmas paper for easy card making – and this is part 2.  If you missed part 1, be sure to click here to see it.

We are using the middle of the frame that we created in the last post.  Because the stitched rectangles cut the stitching both inside and outside of the die, as explained in the first post, we have a rectangular piece with the awesome stitching around it.

Here is what we are making today:

The Supplies

Before we dive into the card, let's go over the supplies you need to make this card.  To order these supplies, simply click on an image below.

The Making

  • Before we add this panel to our card base, if you really want some extra pop, dry emboss a piece of white card stock (4″ x 5-1/4″) using the fabulous Old World Paper folder.  I LOVE this folder!!!  I use it all the time (just ask those in Stamping Family 🙂 – I use it a lot!).
  • So once you have your stunning dry embossed piece all set, then you can add that to your card.
  • Top it off with your stitched patterned paper.
  • Then die cut another stitched rectangle from white card stock (finished is 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″) and add your beautiful sentiment.  I love this vertical sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set in Old Olive ink.
  • Add a scrap with leftover patterned paper that's 1/2″ tall.   Layer this onto your card base.
  • Tie a bow using either ribbon in the ribbon pack and add it to your card.

** Struggle with tying bows?  Here's the solution!
