I know, I know – who talks about Christmas in May?  Well, when you have a card that can come together in just a few minutes, can easily be mass produced and uses items on the Stampin' Up! retired list, I DO!!  Let's take a look and then I can share some details:

Christmas in May

Isn't that cute?  And different enough that it's clearly your own creation.

So here are a couple of really great things about this card.  The Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder doesn't just add that fabulous white on white texture I love so much but it also gives you a totally built in template to line up your strips of paper.  And speaking of strips, is this not one of the best ways EVAH to use up Designer Series Paper scraps?  Even those teeny pieces can be used on the short strips.  And by cutting them to 3/8″ of an inch you get a LOT of strips out of a sheet of paper or even partial sheets.

And this card isn't just great for a Christmas in May card making sesh – you could change up the paper, greeting and swap out those trees for anything and have a stinkin' cute card for any occasion!

Here's what I used for this project – please note that the paper, tree punch, star punch, tree stamp set and embossing folder are ALL on the retiring list!

So if scraps are piling up in your craft space or you are looking to get a head start on the holidays and are thinking Christmas in May, think about how using this card idea can solve at least two of your crafting problems!
