So this black cat card is not my all time favorite project I've ever made BUT 1 – it's perfect for Halloween and 2 – I made it using scraps on my table! Take a peek – it's a cute cat card for any season with just a couple of swap outs……
Cute for a cat lover, right? I had the scraps of the 7/8″ Striped Ribbon, the little piece of the black Vintage Crochet Trim and the greeting stamped on scraps of Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi and the one cat punched from Basic Black. All I did was add the Whisper White panel, the Wild Wasabi card and that little sniplet of 1/8″ Silver Ribbon. I cut the tag, added the trim, added that little bow made with the 10 Second Bow Maker ('cause those bitty ones can be tricky!) and stuck everything together in less than two minutes!
Now with a strong graphic element like that punched cat, you can swap out the ribbon for patterned paper, change up the colors, change out the tag – really play with ANY of the features here – and still have a cute cat card.
So I am going to issue you a challenge – the next time you've had a glorious spell of card making and you are done with your projects, look at your scraps and see if you can put together a “bonus” project from your leftovers! If you want to make THIS card, here are the things you will need:
If you already have the Cat Punch, go ahead, pull it out and play around. Make a cat card or two from your stash or your scraps and be the “cat's meow”!
