Make a stack of cards for coffee lovers!
I have lots of friends who love coffee as I do and I LOVED that I was able to make some cards for coffee lovers that are just slightly reminiscent of the Starbuck's color scheme. And these cards are super fast and easy so you can make a whole stack and have them on hand to send for just about any occasion. Let's take a peek and then we will get to how to make them.
Isn't that so cute? And seriously, they truly do come together really quickly. You could certainly change up the colors and add a customized greeting to make it an entirely different project.
Start with the stamping. Stamp your cup(s) on Whisper White in Shaded Spruce, add the little heart in the center in Real Red and then stamp your greeting on some scrap strips using markers to color the different sections different colors. Remember to give your greeting a good breath of life to get vibrant colors!
Now for die cutting and embossing. Run your Shaded Spruce panel through your machine using the Subtle Embossing folder for that just-there texture. Cut out your coffee cup with the Stitched Shapes circle and then a slightly larger circle from Shaded Spruce. Die cut a Real Red strip with the edge die in the Stitched Be Mine set. PRO TIP: Little accents like this tiny strip really help tie projects together and give the eye something to “hop” to, creating movement and balance.
Now just tuck that Real Red strip behind the edge of the Shaded Spruce panel and adhere it all to your card front. Layer your circles together and adhere them to a square of Whisper White. Snip a banner end onto both ends of your greeting strip and pop it onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
You're done!
Can't you just see this in coffee shades like Early Espresso (duh) and Soft Suede, even Cinnamon Cider? You can make these for tea lovers, hot cocoa lovers, chai lovers…..really, any hot beverage you know they love can be represented!
