I love it when I use my stamps and dies to make more than cards. And today's project is exactly that!
I've been on the hunt for big candy cane dies. The ones I've had in the past were meant to go with stamps, and they only faced one direction. They were fine but just okay.
This year, I was on the look out for big candy canes that I could criss cross. And I wanted them to be big!
I searched, but didn't find anything.
And then a new product release came out and there they were!
A little bit of card stock, a wood cutting board painted white, some ribbon strips and you are good to go!

How cute is this home decor piece? My favorite part is the candy canes. My second favorite part is that black and white ribbon!
AND this was created in under 5 minutes since my cutting board was already painted. I just had to die cut and adhere the pieces together and then to the cutting board – I used foam adhesive for both steps.
Then the ribbon and done.
The Supplies
Here's a link to these awesome dies. They come in their own die set that has other big dies in it, but you can also get it in a bundle. They are both linked below.

This would make the most delightful little gift, it doesn't have to be for home decor.
You can find these small cutting boards at most local craft stores. I usually buy a stack on sale and then lose them in my craft room and have to go buy more. (not even kidding a little bit)
Whatcha Think?
I usually only share cards on this site even though I make all kinds of other crafts. What do you think of this one? Would you like to see more crafts like this?
Love you for stopping by, love you even more when you leave a comment so I know you were here! XOXO, Meg
Looks interesting but I have so may Christmas decorations now I probably won’t make it. But I would be interested in future posts like this one. Still waiting for a rely to a comment I left you on the name or reference to the die cutting apart tool you said you bought on Amazon so I can get one too. Thanks
Thank you so much Cindy! And the other question has been answered 🙂
Just saw this post. This idea could be used for any holiday or used with any decor! That’s why I really like it.
