Can You Cut Your Stamps?

Yes, you sure can cut your stamps!  This is something I talk about a lot in Stamping Family.  If your stamps don't work for you the way you want, change them!

Today I am working with the Lovely & Lasting stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It's a photopolymer stamp set (so clear stamp) and it is a great set, but I have never understood the sentiment “oh, hello” for a card.

That's what you say when someone walks up beside you in the store and you aren't expecting to see them, it catches you off guard, and you say, “oh, hello” and start the conversation.

I don't understand using it on a card that was intentionally made and sent.  If you do, please let me know in the comments below!

I love this stamp set, and love the font with that stamp.  A simple cutting off the part that doesn't work for me, makes it work for my cards.  I cut in such a way that I can easily put them back on the block together if I ever change my mind.  Both pieces are kept.

To better show you what I mean, I made you a quick video 🙂 That's down below.

Let me show you the card we are making first…

The Project

Here is our cutie card with our altered stamp:

I love how this sentiment is repeated in the different colors of the patterned paper.

The Supplies

The list of supplies is short and sweet.  I listed the stamp set and the bundle option.  I didn't use the punch on this card, but I have used it many times – it's a fun one!

To order any of these supplies, simply click on an image below!
