I posted recently about the buying frenzy the Stampin' Up! 2017 Retiring List has created and I am here to tell you to be sure to buy paper punches that are on your retiring wish list NOW! They will be gone soon and then you will cry because you won't get to make this cute card.
I made that with the Medium Star Punch, which is retiring, and the Playful Pallette Designer Series Paper Stack, which is ALSO retiring. The Playful Pallette Designer Series Paper Stack is ON SALE at 40% off and since the colors all coordinate, you could could make a whole STACK of these cards and just switch out the greeting on the banner for whatever occasion you want to use it for.
Here's a closeup of the banner of stars:
You can see how using just a few Stampin' Dimensionals add just enough depth to random stars to make it look like they really are floating on the card, just like stars do in the sky.
I LOVE using a grouping of punched out shapes on a card as a visual feature because it's so easy and repeating the shape adds enough visual interest to a card to make it very WOW with not a lot of OW in terms of materials and time. I always buy paper punches that will give me enough color on a card to hold its own but small enough to create these kinds of groupings.
Here's what I used to make this cute card:
Have you checked out the retiring list yet? There are NINE punches on sale and whenever you can buy paper punches on sale you are investing in a super fun and easy way to up your card making game for less!
