This month I am going to give ALL of you an unprecedented look behind the scenes on Stamping Family. I am doing this because while I try to share how fabulous this site is through blog posts and social media, so many new members tell me they had no idea it was as awesome as it is and they would have joined a lot sooner had they known. This got me to thinking that maybe I need to let you all see MORE of what goes on over there so you can get a better taste of what Stamping Family is all about.
This Fall Stamping Family is about to enter its FIFTH year! WOWZA! When the site was launched in 2013 poo-pooers said it wouldn't even last a year. But here we are, going strong, and there are plenty of members in the group who have been there since day ONE – that is pretty awesome (and tells you a lot)!
There are so many things about Stamping Family that are fantastic benefits to stampers but I think I can sum it all up in one phrase: Stamping Family is where you go when you want to MAKE things, use your stuff, flex your creative muscles. Ok, that's three phrases. But there is a strict no selling policy on the site – you won't even get pitched from ME and I own it! – so it's not where you go to shop. You go there to CRAFT.
For example – one of my favorite things in the site is our swaps which we do several times a year. Bibi is our swap hostess and does an outstanding job of it. She does the work and I get to play 🙂 And that's how I feel – when Bibi posts a new swap I get all excited and start planning my card and can't wait to see the other members' cards. In fact, I have participated in all but two of the swaps. I would never have missed any except with one we were in the middle of a move and the other fell right when I had to have surgery.
The current swap is a Use Your Stash Swap where we are all pulling out and using stuff we already have. Now I can't show you the finished card I am making (we take a solemn pinky swear vow not to post spoilers until everyone has their cards!) but here are some teasers – see if you can guess what holiday I am thinking about!
Cut and ready:
Go ahead, try to guess <snort>:
