Last Minute Awesome Handmade Christmas Cards

Before we dive into ….

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!  Whether you were eating, decorating, sleeping or getting your fill of Hallmark movies, I hope it was full of joy and laughter!

As for us, we got up, got stuff in the oven and decorated for Christmas.  We are the annoying family that decorates before Thanksgiving most every year, but this year was so busy that it happened while the turkey was roasting.

Over the weekend I heard this question and I thought of you…

“Is there still time to make my own Christmas cards this year?”

The answer is YES!

Especially since Thanksgiving came earlier in November, there is absolutely still time!

So today I wanted to share with you a last minute Last Minute Awesome Handmade Christmas Cards idea.  This one uses some of my favorite supplies!

It is heavy on Big Shot work and light on stamping.  That is part of what makes it go together quickly.  You can cut your card stock and watch the newest Countdown to Christmas movie and mindlessly dry emboss and die cut.

Here is the project:

      • Mossy Meadow: 2″ x 4″ (enough for two trees)

Steps to Creating

Step 1:

Cut all your card stock to the sizes above.

Step 2:

Dry emboss all your Very Vanilla panels using the Subtle embossing folder.  Be sure to spritz with rubbing alcohol first.

Step 6:

Attach your clips behind one corner of your patterned paper.

Step 7:

Tie bows in your Crumb Cake ribbon.  I used my 10 Second Bow Maker with one open hole between my pegs.

Step 8:

Assemble!

See how that Corrugated Folder really adds to the card?

Check out that Subtle Embossing Folder on our Very Vanilla layer.  It's not bold like the Corrugated one is, it's just a hint of texture to make your cards really pop!
