Another Quick CAS Card Idea & Video Tutorial
Need another CAS quick card idea with a video tutorial? If so, stick around! This card was one that I shared with my local stampers last week, and the group was split on which card was their favorite – this one or the one I will be sharing soon, so be sure to check back for it coming up soon.
I started with the pretty patterned paper, the Watercolor Patterned Paper. That gave me my color palette – Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.
Since I have a Daffodil Delight ribbon and not Tangerine Tango ribbon, Tangerine Tango needed to be my card base.
If I ever find myself struggling with which way the card should be, I go to my biggest element on the card. In this case, it is the sentiment. If this card was rotated 90 degrees, I would have very little patterned paper showing, and it wouldn't feel balanced because the sentiment is really tall.
Let's take a look at this card idea:
The video tutorial on this CAS (clean and simple) card will show you how it comes together, so let's do a run down on the supplies:
Stamps: Perfect Pennants
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Card Stock: Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Patterned Paper: Watercolor
Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding
(all supplies for this card are from Stampin' Up)
You need very few supplies for this card as you can see.
Let's talk about my favorite part – the rhinestones! As I was working on this card, it felt like there was something missing. It took me a bit to figure out why this card just seemed unfinished. And as Gru from Despicable Me would say, “Lightbulb.”
The sentiment is a conversation starter. And how do you start a conversation on the front of a card and finish it on this inside? A …
And that is how that part of it came to be.

The camera was still, just you holding the card. The audio was okay though.
This is a gorgeous card – I love it. Thanks for sharing.
