The first thing that seems to jump off the retiring accessories list is the ink pads and 12 x 12 cardstock. No, we (I say "we" like I actually had anything to do with it) are not discontinuing ink pads, that would be like a chef without a stove, a car without fuel, a ladybug without polka dots. Instead, "we" are going to a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog. And the 12×12 paper: some colors will be sold individually, but not all.
The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images. They will be available for you to order on June 1.
In addition, there are changes to certain products in the new catalog:
- Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
- 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered.
- 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections.
- If you see an "*" it means that it is being reconfigured and we will see it again, with a face lift.
- Stampin' Up! colors are NOT retiring, with exception to Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush, & Poppy Parade.
And I will be the first to admit that my heart broke a little {insert a lot} when I saw that the Craft Scissors (My "ribbon" scissors and the Paper snips were retiring, not because I would ever get rid of mine, but I thought of all of you that have not embraced the awesome scissor-ness (again, not a word, but I need it to be) that they are! To my great relief, these items ARE available, they are NOT retiring, everyone take a deep breath with me.
