On a recent Stamping Family zoom, we were playing with our favorite colors, Each member went to their go to colors and we created together.
I LOVE bright colors. Love, love, love them! So when it came time to picking just a few, I went with the color palette for the logo I helped design for Stamping Family. Not gonna lie even a little, that is my favorite logo ever! That's an entirely other story for another day.
But I went with bright pinks, greens, yellows, and blues.
I was trying to decide what image to go with for those colors, and I dug into my Crafty Stamp Co box of stamps. There was the perfect stamp set for this color combination! And it was one I hadn't used before, which made it even more perfect.
How fun is it to have the perfect reason to use a stamp you haven't used yet? To me, that's a sense of satisfaction like no other.
So I started with the Caffeinated Gnomies stamp set, and created this fun card here:
To color her in, I went to my favorite alcohol markers, OLO Markers™ and went to town. I didn't have to use that many colors as she isn't that large an image.
While I love her and I love that sentiment, I also really love the strip of patterned paper. That little 1/2 strip of patterned paper makes the card work perfectly!
Often times we feel like we need to add everything, and the kitchen sink, to a card to make it work – but it's the little touches that add the biggest difference.
