This sweet and simple happiness card is something that can be made SO many different ways with any color card stock, any focal image, any greeting…..it's like, oh, I don't know, the garden salad of cards – you can make it from anything and anything goes with it, nothing goes to waste and you can make every one different and they will all be fabulous.

Let's put some eyes on it:

Check out this sweet and simple happiness card that you can make from any supplies you have!
You can see that this card is ridiculously easy. Tear a panel, put the large part on the front and the small piece in the center. Wrap some trim – in this case our lovely baker's twine – around the front, add a die cut focal image with a little pop of coloring and emboss a greeting on a scrap. Wait! What greeting is that? IS there a “happiness” greeting in the catalog?

Use just one word from a greeting as I did on this happiness card.

Well not as a standalone, there isn't but see that top right greeting? (By the way, when I first saw that I thought it said something about being a PAIN in my …….happiness? or other word that ends in “ss”?? Needed. More. Coffee.) I just inked up the single word and embossed it on my black scrap and got to send some cheer with a single word! And just LOVE that the ribbon in the focal image forms a little heart – it's so sweet!

Super cute details from my easy happiness card!
I used my second obsession – Stampin' Blends – to color this image. I really do love how smoothly and evenly the color and adding the “shadows” that give these images some dimension is SO easy by just adding a touch of the darker color here and there. I am NOT a professional colorer – though what a GREAT job that would be! – but these Stampin' Blends sure do let me pretend!

Make a happiness card like this one to cheer someone up!

And I seriously LOVE that subtle texture offered by the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder! When you are making a card, if you look at it and think it needs just a little sumpin' sumpin', try an embossing folder and let some texture add that depth and interest to your card.

Here are the goodies I used to make this happiness card. I will say that while I have a bunch of heat tools, I almost always grab the one from Stampin' Up! over all the others. It's MUCH more comfortable to hold, the two heat settings are a huge help and it's lighter then the others. And it LASTS! And if you order one now you are more than halfway to getting a Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE!
