Today I want to show you how to make a thank you card with two stamps. Yes, I used some other tools to bump this card up a little but using the same stamp in three different colors that look awesome together can create a dynamic thank you card! Take a look:

I just love this new Labels To Love stamp set and I used the outline stamp and the “Give Thanks” stamp combined to create this cute card. You certainly don't have to dress up this card with the layers and embossing – simply stamping the outline with the greeting inside would still give you a gorgeous card! But I HAD to have the new Everyday Label Punch and I already had the circle punches….so….I had to play!

At the last minute I added the dry embossed wood grain background from the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder because I just wanted to add a little sump'n sump'n.  You can add ANY texture there if you want to and the card will still look terrific because the colors are doing the work!  You can see that luxurious, deep texture pretty well here:

Now I used traditional autumn colors here but you can make this card with ANY color combination. And since this card comes together very quickly you can make them in batches. Who doesn't need a stack of thank you cards? Do you know someone who just had a baby? You could make a thank you card bundle for them using soft colors. Working on your Christmas preparation already? Make a slew of these in winter colors for after the holidays so you can get those thank yous out right away. When you make a thank you card yourself it just carries that much more gratitude and your recipient will feel that much more appreciated.

I decided to add some colored circle layers under the words just for some more definition – I use those circle punches ALL the time!  Most of you already know this but Stampin' Up! goes to very long extremes to ensure that inks and papers coordinate perfectly so adding same-color items in projects is that much easier.

Snag these products now for endless opportunities to make a thank you card that will go with anything:

Now, I hear what you are saying! Yes, all the way here in Texas! That's a lot of stuff for a card with “just two stamps”. But here's the beauty of this project – you don't NEED all the punches and texture to make a thank you card like this. As your “professional” Stampin' Up! person I like to show you projects that have taken a basic, fun technique – like using the same stamps in different colors as the focal point – and step them up a little to inspire you. Here's a pic where the texture and layering aren't quite as obvious and you can see what a really nice card this would be with just stamping.
