I had broken up with flower images on cards a little over a year ago. I was so flower inundated that I took a much needed long floral hiatus.

Other than two cards, it's been over a year since I have used a flower image. In the world of card making, that's a really, really, really long time.

I found a floral image that caught my eye enough for me to not only get it, but to also use it! I fell head over heels for the Simple Floral stamp set from Brass and Bliss. It has coordinating dies and it's just spot on for what I needed.

This card comes together quickly, a little ink blending, a little stamping, a little coloring and some die cutting. It's simply, well.. that simple!

I LOVE the sentiment that accompanies this floral stamp set. I love the font, the sentiment, all of it.

Not only did I do some light ink blending, I also used some black ink to cover my background layer and I love how that looks too.
