You CAN make an all occasion card in 10 minutes!
I love spring and it seems like there are SO many reason to send card in this season. Congratulations, babies, Father's Day, Mother's Day, thank yous for the end of the school year…….endless, fun reasons to make an all occasion card in 10 minutes because that's often all you have! And I LOVE springtime and the flowers that come with it. Like daisies – they are up among my favorites.
So it got me thinking about how to use daisies on a card and came up with an all occasion card that can be made in just minutes and all you have to do to make it “perfect” for any purpose is to change out the greeting!
It started with a stamp set that I wasn't too fond of when the Annual Jan-June catalog came out. It took me a few months to realize that the reason I didn't like it was because of the samples in the catalog. So the more I contemplating getting it, I finally decided to just go for it and I'm so glad I did.
Let me show you this stamp set…
In the catalog they did a lot of tone on tone stamping and also tried heat embossing. The samples may be great for some, but they just missed the mark for me. I love the sentiments and the font, and when stamped simply in ink onto white card stock, it's great! And there are so many great sentiments in this set that now that I have it, I can't imagine NOT having it!
The Project
I can't wait to share this project with you. It ties in some of my favorite elements like the daisies, a touch of sparkle and great border dies used on scraps of card stock make the perfect vertical strip on the card front. You will also note in that other card that talks about scraps, I used the same stamp set!
That zig-zag trim really makes the card pop with its stitching on it. (On the back side of the card stock, I added an adhesive sheet before die cutting to add the strips to the card quickly.
Punch two daisies, layer them together – add some circles and some bling to the center of your flower, stamp your sentiment and you are done!
Some think that card making takes a ton of time, but this card took me less than 10 minutes to make from start to finish. And with the way card making relieves stress – I can easily trade 10 minutes to gain some “me time” and a little fast earned joy. How about you?
RETIRING PRODUCT ALERT: Both the Daisy Punch and the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set are retiring! Only available while supplies last!
