5 Minute Card Idea

Looking to make a 5 minute card?  We all need them at some point!  And this week I needed one.

I have a friend that has been a bit down in the dumps, mainly work related.  Have you ever been in that situation?  Last minute, her hubby let me know that she was getting a promotion at work and a small party to go along with it, and asked if I could I go to it.  While I couldn't, I wanted to make a card that let her know I was there for her in spirit.

Don't you love that moment when you aren't sure what sentiment you will stamp on a card and then you find the PERFECT stamp?  That's exactly what happened with this one!

Her hubby was swinging by in 10 minutes, so I had just a few minutes to make a card then take a few minutes to write on the inside.

I overlooked this stamp set when it first came out.  It arrived about 3 weeks ago, so the timing couldn't have been more ideal.  It's the Inspired Thoughts stamp set.  Let me share it with you…

So many great sentiments that are very different than what most stamp sets offer.

My friend loves black and white checked anything, so I knew I had to use the Black and White Gingham Ribbon!

That gave me a quick color palette of black and white.

The Project

One embossing folder, one piece of white card stock, one piece of black card stock, one stamp, one ink pad, one ribbon and done!

So sweet and simple, and ready to go in under 5 minutes – including the dry embossing and cutting of card stock.
