I shared a snippet of a card with you during the release of Catherine Pooler's card stock and new dies and today I am sharing the full card.
There is so much that I love with this card but the thing I love most is the Grosgrain Strip dies. They give all the look of grosgrain ribbon without the bulk or the tucking the tails behind the cardstock layer.
This die is about 6″ x 2″ and it creates 5 grosgrain strips each time you run it through. Of course you can always use a smaller piece of cardstock if you just need a strip or two.
This card was made by die cutting the strips in two colors, the sentiment in one color, the flower in one color and the middle in white.
After that, it's just assembling!

Look at all the detail you get with these amazing dies!

The Supplies

My favorite part of this card is obviously the Grosgrain Strips die!
As I am typing this up, I am curious, give me a second….
Woohoo, fun figure out moment!
So the strips are 3/8″ wide. I don't know about you, but I have more than my share of 1/2″ strips of cardstock and patterned paper. Do you see where I am going with this?
Use washi tape on the scrap of cardstock to keep it in in with the die and you now have an accent piece rather than a cardstock scrap!
What's Your Favorite?
What's your favorite part of this card? There are a lot of elements, so I am curious!
Until next time, my crafty friends, XOXO, Meg
