Monochromatic layouts can have a great result, when doing monochromatic cards, I start with the simple layout and choose a simple stamp set, such as the Four Frames stamp set from Stampin' Up!
Today's card started with a Marina Mist mist background and initially only had Bashful Blue strips. But it seemed like it needed a little more color. So I grabbed my Scallop Trim border punch and went to town with some Whisper White card stock.
To add accents to the card I chose Marina Mist 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon. Then I grabbed my handy-dandy http://www.10secondsbowmaker.com to tie my cute bows. I love having it to tie multiple bows on one project that are all the same size.
Stampin' Up!'s Four Frames stamps in Marina Mist onto Whisper White card stock was then punched out using stamp nuts Decorative Label punch. If there is a stamp set with a coordinating punch you can bet that I will get it sooner rather than later.
